The challenge was started by a TikTok user called @yaicha93, who posted it to TikTok on August 1st. This TikTok user drew out the Escape The Murder House Challenge onto a piece of paper and filmed herself explaining the rules of the puzzle. The video has gained 1.2 million views and continues to go viral on the social media app. She says: “This is the Escape The Murder House Challenge. You defeat a killer when you enter their room. You must defeat every killer and escape out the escape route at the front of the house. Once you defeat a killer, that room is now an active crime scene, and you may not re-enter it. Here is one of my many attempts. But for some reason, I always seem to leave one killer out. Have fun and duet me with your attempts.”
