In current scenario, getting your first break into analytics can be difficult. Around 30% of analytics companies (specially the top ones) evaluate candidates on their prowess at solving puzzles. It implies that you are logical, creative and good with numbers.
The ability to bring unique perspective into solving business problems can provide you a huge advantage over other candidates. Such abilities can only be develop with regular practice and consistent efforts.
For me, solving puzzles is like mental exercise. I do it everyday and have fairly improved over period of time. To help you achieve this skill, I am sharing some of the trickiest & head scratching questions I’ve come across in my journey. These questions have been asked at companies like Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Google, JP Morgan etc.
